Scholarships available
We believe that finances should not be a hinderance for participation in medical and community service outreach. Through our Scholarship Program, Scenic Northwest Surgery Outreach offers financial support to join our medical/surgical missions to Kenya, Malawi, Peru and Guatemala.
Eligibility
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Demonstrate financial need
- Commitment to engage in the mission
- Already be accepted on an upcoming outreach trip
What the Scholarship Covers
Awarded recipients will receive funding up to $600 to cover:
- Travel costs
- Local transportation and lodging
Application Process & Timeline
- Applications open: 6 months prior to the trip departure
- Applicants submit: resume/CV, proof of income, and a personal statement
- Review period: 90 days prior to trip departure
- Notification: sent by email
- Funding will go directly towards the trip fees
FAQs
- Do I repay the scholarship? No, these are grants, not loans.
- Can I apply more than once? Yes, but priority is given to new applicants.
- What happens if I can’t go? Notify us at least 30 days in advance, funds may be reallocated.
