About the Program
We believe in empowering clinicians who share our heart for service. Through our Scholarship Program, Scenic Northwest Surgery Outreach offers financial support to low-income healthcare workers (nurses, allied health, community health professionals) to join our medical/surgical missions to Kenya, Malawi, Peru and Guatemala. These scholarships help remove financial barriers, so compassionate professionals can gain experience and bring those skills back to their communities.

Eligibility
Applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Be a licensed or practicing healthcare or allied health professional
   
• Demonstrate financial need (income guidelines or documentation)
   
• Be based in Oregon (or meet geographic requirement)
   
• Commitment to engage in the mission and participate in required training and follow-up
   

What the Scholarship Covers
Awarded recipients will receive funding (or reimbursement) for:

• Travel costs
   
• Local transportation and lodging
   
• Medical supplies / instruments
